The SeaFeast Story
Founded by the City of Bellingham
Presented by the Port of Bellingham and Haggen Northwest Fresh
Bellingham SeaFeast is a two-day festival in mid-September that provides a premier showcase and celebration of our:
Maritime heritage legacy.
Vibrant working waterfront.
Internationally-renowned fishing & seafood industries.
Unparalleled culinary bounty.
And outstanding regional entertainment.
You will leave with a lasting impression and inside knowledge of our little corner of the Pacific Northwest.
The waterfront has defined Bellingham from its very beginnings, and Bellingham SeaFeast represents every facet of the area’s seaborne charm. From sea-to-plate you will experience why the Salish Sea and its bounty set Bellingham apart as a place you will always remember fondly.
An increasing interest in our maritime and fishing sector—and its significant economic impact—led to the creation of SeaFeast. The City of Bellingham Tourism Commission supported the launch of this signature festival at Squalicum Harbor on Bellingham Bay.
Now, SeaFeast is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, supported both by public and private entities throughout Whatcom County and the Pacific Northwest. The City and Port of Bellingham continue their exciting collaboration to redevelop and to intentionally connect downtown with our thriving working waterfront.
Bellingham SeaFeast planners have collaborated with stakeholders throughout Whatcom County to support that vision with this festival.
Plan to stay overnight and attend (admission is free). You’ll catch the wave of excitement at Bellingham SeaFeast – fun and folly, music and demonstrations, competitions and entertainers, and seafood, seafood, seafood – on the shores of Bellingham Bay!
