What’s the difference in salmon between silver and pink, Sockeye and King? And between premier white fish, cod and halibut? How do you select shellfish???

Here’s a golden opportunity to taste and learn about premium sustainable seafood from expert chefs, caterers, and professional fish buyers. You’ll raise awareness of the bounty of Northwest’s finest harvests, and the factors contributing to the mystique that sometimes causes hesitancy to purchase and cook seafood at home.

As you sample tastes and bites, the experts will discuss nuances of safety, purchasing, preparing, and seasoning the finest fish dishes on earth. Ocean Beauty Seafoods executive chef will preside over offerings from among their 19 different worldwide brands.

Also meet reps as you sample:

  • Alaskan Leader Wild Alaskan Cod
  • Haggen’s Market Street Catering executive chef and staff.

Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association provides educational materials.

Participation in the Taste the Sea Experience takes place in one-hour shifts at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. Seating limit is 80 for each session.
