Bellingham SeaFeast 2018
SeaFeast Friday Night
Prose, Poetry, Films, and Songs of the Sea
Commercial fishing folks, lovers of the sea, families, and friends—come one, come all to celebrate Bellingham’s maritime culture through the arts. You can even sign up to perform.
Choose from among poetry, prose, film, songs, or performance arts. Following the opening event in Maritime Heritage Park and the Friday Night SeaFeed, you’ll gather with arts and ocean lovers alike at various venues in downtown Bellingham, quenching your thirst and filling your heart with the good vibes that come with shared stories of our seafaring experiences.
SeaFeast Friday Night includes the renowned FisherPoets-on-Bellingham Bay filling some of our local venues, sticking to the traditions of the original Astoria FisherPoets Gathering that celebrates commercial fishing through poetry, prose, and song.
If you are at home on the water and/or find inspirations there that fuel your art, we invite you to present along with the traditional FisherPoets. Filmmakers need not be present to submit a film
If you’ve presented previously as part of FisherPoets-on-Bellingham Bay, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your RSVP or regrets.
For anyone new on the scene, or who works best in a different ocean-inspired medium, please read the Guidelines and then complete the Registration to join the fun of this year’s Bellingham SeaFeast Friday Night.
